Which devices are supported?

SafeBoat works on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android (phones and tablets). It requires iOS 12.0 or later, or Android 6.0 or later.

Does it work without internet?

The anchor alarm works perfectly offline using GPS. Internet is only needed for displaying the map and sending remote notifications. Your anchor monitoring continues working even without connectivity.

How does remote notification work?

You can easily pair SafeBoat with other devices using a simple code. When an alert is triggered on one device, all paired devices receive the notification instantly. Perfect for keeping watch from shore or having crew members monitor together.

What happens if GPS signal is lost?

SafeBoat continuously monitors GPS signal quality. If the signal is lost or becomes weak, you'll receive an immediate notification so you can take appropriate action.

How does the "I'm OK" feature work?

Set a check-in interval (e.g., every 4 hours). The app will remind you to confirm you're okay. If you don't respond within the time window, it automatically sends alerts with your GPS location to your pre-selected emergency contacts.

Will it drain my battery?

SafeBoat is optimized for minimal battery usage. It can run all night on a typical smartphone. For extended trips, we recommend keeping your device plugged in or using a power bank.

How does the AI Route Planner work?

Tell the AI where you want to go, your boat type, and trip duration. It plans a weather-aware coastal route, finds sheltered bays and marinas for overnight stops, and provides real-time wind and wave forecasts for each leg. You can export the route as a GPX file or open it directly in Navionics.
